Dr. Johannes Busse studied Computer Science (Diploma: Dipl.-Inform.), Educational Science and Philosophy at the TH Karlsruhe (1986-1991) and the University of Tübingen (1991-1992). 1993-1996 associated with the graduate college of the Interdepartmental Centre for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities, Tübingen, holding a scholarship from the Ev. Studienwerk Villigst (PhD Thesis: 1999). 1997-2000 staff member of the Programming Research Group, University of Tübingen. 2000-2006 postdoc researcher at the Institute of Educational Sciences, University of Heidelberg, working on blended learning environments in adult education. 2006-2010 Senior Reseracher with Ontoprise GmbH, Karlsruhe, working on semantic web, knowledge management and ontology engineering. Self employed as ontology engineer from April 2010 to March 2013.

Professor for Academic Instruction of Applied Sciences since April 2013 at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
